Giving you the best possible dental care is a commitment we take seriously, and technology is an important part of that commitment. Using the most modern methods and equipment available, we are able to offer you efficient and detailed diagnoses, and as a result, you get the best treatment options possible.
Drs. Pahal and Sidhu and their team use several high-end pieces of equipment, including:
These small, pen-sized cameras offer intense image quality and zoom abilities. This allows us to get the closest possible images of any trouble spots in your mouth, making diagnosis more precise and accurate. Additionally, the patient is able to see the images, which is a terrific way for you to be involved with what’s going on and better participate in your treatment plan.
Digital x-rays have a lot of advantages over conventional x-rays. Not only do they use up to 90% less radiation, but they’re faster and more accurate, and patients normally report a better and more comfortable experience. A small sensor takes the images of your mouth and sends them to the computer. These digital images are detailed and exact, providing the best possible basis for diagnosis.
Panoramic x-rays are faster and more accurate than traditional x-rays, plus they provide a picture of the entire mouth at once. The pictures can be taken instantly, and are then available immediately for use. Also, the images can be stored on the computer for quick access, allowing the dentist to consult them at a moment’s notice.
The VELscope is a recent and excellent advance in the diagnosis of oral cancer. The scope uses a green light that, when used to inspect the mouth and tongue, causes the tissues of the mouth to “fluoresce” (shine brightly). Healthy tissues fluoresce in certain patterns that unhealthy tissues do not, which allows the dentist to spot potential lesions before they are visible to the naked eye. This quick and totally painless procedure might just save your life!
We use these new technologies because they are the most advanced available...it’s just one more way of making certain all our patients get the best care possible.
Modern advances in dental technology allow for faster and more precise diagnoses, which in turn delivers the finest experience possible.
